South East Central Railway (SECR), Bilaspur has announced reappointment opportunities in the Civil Engineering (TMO) department for retired railway staff. The recruitment includes 56 positions such as Senior Section Engineer (SSE), Junior Engineer (JE), Technicians, and Assistants. The engagement will be on a full-time contract basis for one year. The last date to apply is 24 July 2025.

The reappointment is based on Railway Board letters dated 15 Oct 2024, 31 Dec 2024, and 20 June 2025. Selected candidates will be posted in the Track Machine Organisation (TMO) under the Civil Engineering department.

Eligibility Criteria

Must have retired from the same post or from a post not more than three pay levels higher
Preference to those retired from the same pay level
Age must be ≤ 65 years as on 01 Jan 2025; preference for those ≤ 64 years
Should not be retired under safety/medical schemes like LARSGESS
No pending DAR or vigilance cases

Salary & Benefits

Monthly remuneration = Last drawn salary – Pension
No increment, DA or HRA will be applicable
Eligible for Transport Allowance and TA/DA on official duties
1.5 days of paid leave for every completed month (not carry-forwardable)

Selection Process

Evaluation by a 3-member committee (Dy CPO, Dy FA&CAO, and TMO Deputy)
Assessment will be based on service record and operational needs
Immediate joining required after selection
Services may be terminated without notice if unsatisfactory or if RRB panel becomes available

Terms & Conditions

Reappointed staff will not be given charge of divisions or construction units
They won't hold financial or disciplinary powers
Initial contract is for 1 year, extendable till the age of 65
Engagement can be terminated with 15 days' notice
Applicable till 14 Oct 2026 or until further notice
