Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL) has announced 70 apprentice vacancies for the 2025-26 session at its Korba-based thermal and hydro power plants. This opportunity is open to engineering graduates and diploma holders who are permanent residents of Chhattisgarh. The deadline to apply is 21 July 2025.

Overview

The apprenticeship will be conducted under the Apprenticeship Act, and training will take place at CSPGCL units in Korba East, Korba West, Janjgir-Champa, and Machadoli. A total of 42 posts for Graduate Apprentices and 28 for Diploma Apprentices are available. Training duration is one year.

Eligibility Criteria

Graduate Apprentices: Engineering degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, CSE, EEE or IT from a recognised university
Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in relevant branch from a recognised technical board
Only Chhattisgarh domicile candidates are eligible (Permanent residence certificate required)
Candidates who passed their qualifying exam more than 5 years before 30 June 2025 are not eligible

Stipend & Benefits

Graduate Apprentices: ₹9,000/month
Diploma Apprentices: ₹8,000/month
This program provides hands-on technical training and enhances job-readiness, but does not guarantee permanent employment

16-digit NATS Registration Number
Declaration form stating the applicant hasn’t undertaken any previous apprenticeship

Candidates must also register at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and mention their NATS number in the application form.

Selection Process

Merit list will be prepared based on academic performance and interview performance
Final and waitlisted candidates will be notified via CSPGCL's website and email
Reservations will be followed as per Chhattisgarh Government rules

Important Rules & Conditions

Training is only for 1 year – there is no promise of job placement after completion
Applicants with work experience or past apprenticeships are ineligible
No hostel or transport facilities will be provided
Apprentices must meet DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) eligibility on NATS portal
